Ich lebe und photographiere im verschlafenen Städtchen Bonn am Rhein.
„Photographie“ bedeutet wörtlich „Mit Licht zeichnen“.
Um das Licht einzufangen braucht es die notwendige Technik, um damit zu "zeichnen". Um allerdings ein Bild zu erschaffen, dass Menschen berührt, braucht es die Magie des Augenblicks – ein Dualismus der mich als promovierter Physiker immer wieder fasziniert.

Für mich ist Photographie vor allem die Kunst, die Seele und Gefühle eines Moments trotz Technik festzuhalten und für andere Menschen erlebbar zu machen.
Hauptberuflich arbeite ich zusammen mit meinen Kollegen daran, das Gesundheitswesen zu verbessern, indem wir Konzerne im Bereich Pharma & Life Science bei ihrer Digitalisierung begleigten.

To capture the light, you need the necessary equipment to "draw" with it. But to create an picture that touches people, you need the magic of the moment - a dualism that always fascinates me as a doctor of physics.

For me, photography is above all the art of capturing the soul and feelings of a moment in despite of technology and to make it experiencable for other people.
My main job is to work with my colleagues to improve healthcare by accompanying pharmaceutical & life science companies in their digitalization.
